Project was undertaken in response to a
requirement from the Government of Samoa in partnership with AusAID
for ADB to prepare a Pacific Island Economic Report (PIER) on Samoa
to be published in ADB’s Pacific Studies Series

Undertake a literature review for the sectors to be analysed
by the international consultants, identifying relevant
publications and government aid agency and consultants reports,
and providing brief summaries of their content and conclusions
Prepare a report summarising the mid-1999 implementation
status of reform actions described in Strengthening the
Partnership : A Statement of Economic Strategy 1998-1999
Provide advice to team members as required during the team’s
field work in Samoa
