Detailed Narrative Description of Project:
Review by AusAID of the SPREP administration and
operations. The impetus for review was the introduction of
accrual-based outcome and output budgeting in AusAID and other
Australian government agencies on 1 July 1999. An essential part of
accrual budgeting is the monitoring and measurement of performance.
Part of Performance Information Framework (PIF) which enables AusAID
to meet its new reporting requirements requires annual assessments
of other international and regional organisations against quality
criteria established for Australian development assistance. The
reivew of SPREP was such a review and was aimed to obtain and verify
systematic, independent information on the performance of SPREP. |
