Detailed Narrative
Description of Project:
The project was an initiative by the New Zealand Government to
support the efforts of the Western Samoa Trade and Commerce Department in promoting
private sector development. The Small Business Enterprise Centre concentrates in training
small business promoters before supporting them in accessing finance through a loan
guarantee scheme. The composition of the board of the charitable trust allows the Small
Business Enterprise Centre to coordinate a number of activities and services for small
business enterprises. It is envisaged that the centre will become the focal point for
channeling assistance to the small business enterprises by the Government and aid donors. |
