Detailed Narrative Description of Project:

 Study to analyse the implications of globalisation and trade on Pacific women taking into consideration the new trading agreements. This paper was then presented at the 9th Triennial Meeting of Pacific Women and the 2nd Ministerial Meeting of the Ministers of Women Affairs in the Pacific which was held in Nadi Fiji in August 2004. The paper was included in the Pacific Platform on Action for Women as a new emerging issue for Pacific Women to address.

 

Detailed Description of Actual Services provided by your Company:

 Consultancy missions in Samoa and Fiji and using the available information with KVAConsult. Desk research and analytical reporting on the trade agreements and the implications of these agreements to the Pacific Island countries and territories and strategies for women for address these implications. KVAConsult also made presentations made to the 9th Triennial Women’s Meeting and the Ministerial Meeting.
