Kolone Vaai

Co-Managing Director and Principal Consultant

 

Kolone Vaai has experience in the public and private sector and management as a result of a professional career at various senior and executive level positions in the Government of Samoa up to 1991 and from 1991 at consultancy levels.  He has been  involved with a wide range of developmental and reform programmes, design and implementation through his membership of various consultancies and studies of a number of key sectors in the Pacific Island economies. 

 

 

 

Epa Tuioti

Co-Managing Director and Principal Consultant

 

Epa Tuioti was the head of the Treasury Department and was the principal financial and economic advisor to the Government of Samoa from 1991 to 1999. In that position he was involved in designing and implementing several development and reform policy initiatives of Government. Since joining KVAConsult in 2000, he has had extensive experience in the public sector consultancies in Samoa and across the Pacific region.  He has also been involved in the review of Pacific regional organisations. He has extensive private sector experience through his directorship in a number of private companies and membership in the Executive Council of the Samoa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 

 

 

Naomi Christina Tuioti

Senior Consultant: Finance, Investment Banking and Private Sector Business Development

 

Naomi Tuioti previously worked at ANZ Bank as a Relationship Manager in the Credit Department. She joined KVAConsult Ltd in 2003 and is principally involved in investment and finance activities, private sector development at enterprise level, financial modeling and construction, financial management, business advisory services, debt and equity raising, debt restructuring and venture capital fund management. She has developed financial models for assessment of a number of investment projects including the Aggie Grey’s Beach Resort project and the Samoa Venture Capital Fund. She has also had regional experience in identification and coordination of investment projects.

 

 

 

Audrey Brown-Pereira

Manager Corporate Services and Project Management

 

Audrey Brown-Pereira joined KVAConsult in 2008 having previously worked as the Executive Officer/ Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor responsible for the merger process between the Samoa Polytechnic and the National University of Samoa. She also has extensive background and experience in Foreign Affairs having served the Cook Islands Government in Rarotonga, Auckland and Wellington.

 

 

 

Lauvi Parataiso Aaitui

Grassroots Project Coordinator

Lauvi joined the KVAConsult team managing the Japan Grassroots Human Grant Aid Security Programme as the community and building services coordinator. His main responsibilities include the undertaking of consultations with beneficiary communities, the conduct of project preparatory surveys, monitoring of project implementation. He was previously employed by the Public Works Department of the Government of Samoa as the Chief Building Inspector and enforcer of the Samoan building code.

 

Rachel Vaai
Research Officer (Project Management and Research)

Rachel Vaai joined KVAConsult in 2007 after employment in the retail sector. She is a member of the Japan Grassroots Human Grant Aid Security Programme and is responsible for financial management, procurement contracting and monitoring, preparation of monthly implementation progress reports and project completion reports. She is also involved in the Telecommunications and Postal Sector Reform project.

 

Ken Tuioti

ICT Advisor

 

Ken Tuioti joined KVAConsult in 2008 after previous employment in New Zealand for Rakon Limited, a large electronics manufacturer. His responsibilities include the assessment and evaluation of client ICT Infrastructures in an effort to further develop and maximise the use of Information and Communication Technology. He is also involved in the Telecommunications and Postal Sector Reform project.
