reviews of Kiribati, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Western
Samoa.
Research Officers
The researchers visited Kiribati, Solomon
Islands, Tuvalu and Vanuatu to consult with Government officials and
collect data for the economic reviews. Both researchers assisted
with the preparation and finalisation of the economic report.
Senior Economic Adviser
Assisted with the editing of the economic report
and attended the April 1995 ESCAP meetings in Thailand to present
the economic report as part of the Asia-Pacific Programme of Action
review. |

Detailed Narrative Description of Project:
The project was to review the economic
performance of the Pacific LDCs and the overseas development
assistance provided under the guidelines of 1990s Programme of
Action for the LDCs. The economic report produced by the review
formed the basis of discussions of a Global Review of the Programme
of Action Conference in late 1995. |
