Detailed Narrative Description of Project

Provided an Information paper for the Pacific Ministers of Agriculture Meeting on the general benefits and costs to the PIC’s of WTO membership.

The study identified constraints in certain sectors of the economy, mainly in Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries and Food production. An extensive review of the various trade policies in the PIC’s was carried out and recommendations were put forward by the team. The study would also allow governments covered in this study to make a choice on joining WTO given the review of their trade policies and information regarding costs and benefits on joining WTO.

  • Coordinated all travel arrangements and appointments and led team on the mission to the selected islands
  • Provided overall guidance to the team as well as review draft reports prepared.
  • Preparation of Draft final/ final report incorporating inputs from other team members as well as from the client.
