Detailed Narrative Description of
Project
Provided an Information paper for
the Pacific Ministers of Agriculture Meeting on the general benefits
and costs to the PIC’s of WTO membership.
The study identified constraints in certain
sectors of the economy, mainly in Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries
and Food production. An extensive review of the various trade
policies in the PIC’s was carried out and recommendations were put
forward by the team. The study would also allow governments covered
in this study to make a choice on joining WTO given the review of
their trade policies and information regarding costs and benefits on
joining WTO. |
